Context Local User

Represents a local account on Linux, macOS or Windows. Local authorization supports existing local accounts on all three platforms, including local SAM accounts on Windows. A local account candidate is also available in the Local Environment context.

(User)name of the user.

displayName

string

The display name of the user: GECOS on Linux, the Directory Services real name on macOS, or the local SAM full name on Windows.

uid

UID

The local account's UID.

gid

GID

Unix only. Shortcut for group.gid.

group

Unix only. The primary group of the user.

groups

The user's supplementary groups on Linux and macOS. On Windows, these are direct local alias memberships; there is no primary group.

gids

[]GID

Shortcut for groups.*.gid: numeric IDs on Unix, local group SIDs on Windows.

managed

bool or null

true or false when the current flow has a Local Environment, including .authorization.user in that flow. Otherwise null.

shell

string

Unix: the account's configured shell. Windows: COMSPEC, falling back to cmd.exe.

homeDir

string

Unix: the account home directory. Windows: its actual profile directory; reading this field loads the profile if it does not yet exist and requires Bifröst to run as LocalSystem.
